The annual UK Seafood Summit, organised by Seafish the public body that supports the £10bn UK seafood industry, brings together a panel of respected speakers and delegates to discuss and debate the burning issues in the global seafood industry.
The theme in 2019 is ‘The Responsible Seafood Economy: Looking Forward – Responding to Change’. This year it will focus on:
Supplies: Explore the changing nature of seafood sourcing
Operations: Innovation in technology; evolution of the workforce
Markets: The shifting interests of consumers
Previously known as the Humber Seafood Summit, the event draws interest from key players in the seafood industry including processors, distributors, foodservice and retail operators and is open to all businesses and organisations with an interest in the UK seafood industry.
As with previous years, the Seafood Fayre takes place the evening before the Summit showcasing local food producers and we have introduced an additional seminar hosted by the Young Seafood Leaders Network, which will take place the afternoon before.
Speakers are currently being confirmed and further details will be announced soon.
